Subaru Crosstrek Car camping trial

So while I have been here in the USA, I bought a cheap car and had some work done to get it in better shape.  This allows me not only to get around with twice the MPG that the borrowed Lexus GX got but a bit more freedom to do my own thing. I thought it would be fun and interesting to visit places in between house sitting or visiting friends and family.  Here are some images of the first 3 car camps

Over to the West Coast of Baja ready for the start of the race!

From San Felipe we drove across to Ensenada and down the coast to Coyote Cal's and then The Old Mill in San Quintín.  Tomorrow the race starts! Today we drove about 100 miles of the course!

Baja 1000 carnage continues...

OK, so from Vegas we drove down to North Glamis and dropped the big camper and trailer off so we could travel lighter to follow the 1000 mile race through the desert. We're a week or so early and all of the teams are pre-running/learning the course. We're still in the desert like Vegas but it's Mexico and we started off in San Felipe Baja California  too much eating and drinking. People and places are lovely!
